What is a sign it is time to revisit your parenting skills?

This.......Kaiya walked in the room today, propped her doll in front of the television and then left. Ouch! That was a wake up call. It is time I revamped my mothering skills.

Brigham was insistent on choosing his own outfit. I let him. A few minutes later he waltzed in the room wearing the following outfit. In case you need clarification of the tights wrapped around his neck, they are his scarf. Of course the yellow boots paired with shorts is also a nice touch. Way to go Brigham. Welcome to the wonderful world of fashion.

I opened a container of Play dough for Brigham and Kaiya to play with. A few minutes later Brigham walked in the room and announced he had a bug in his ear. I thought it was a cute little bug. I think it looked little like a cell phone headset, perhaps that is where he got the idea.

This is Brigham and Kaiya's car. If you ask them where they are going it is always to go buy a train. Normally they just sit under the table and hit various invisible buttons, but today it looks like they upgraded to bucket seats.

I love you kids. Thanks for keeping life interesting.

Harry Potter Glasses

I think the finger in the nose is a nice touch

Brigham has decided he really likes these nerd glasses. He calls them his Harry potter glasses. Kaiya of course still loves to wear her sunglasses around the house. The other day when I went downstairs and they were both wearing their glasses. I decided to take pictures. The final picture is the first picture that has Brigham taken that included the entire person. I was so surprised he didn't cut off any body parts that I decided to post it even though it shows my house in all its messy glory.

Happy Birthday Kaiya------We Love You!

We hope you had a wonderful birthday Kaiya. It was filled with lots of family, presents, and food. Many people came to visit you for your birthday. Grandma and Grandpa Palfreyman, and Grandma and Grandpa Homer. Uncle Travis and Aunt Karla and Aunt Suzie came too and many of your cousins: Bailey, Chance, Dutch, Oakley, Sawyer, Tymbre and Jamie. We ate pizza and cake. Your cousins helped you to blow out your candles. All the cousins loved playing with the balloons. It was fun to watch you open your presents. You loved to carry each piece of tissue paper over to uncle Travis; it made us all laugh. As you can see from the picture Brigham fell asleep while eating his pizza. He was so excited for the party all day long. I guess he used all his energy up waiting for the party to start. We all love you so much and are so happy you are part of our family.

What can I say? Kaiya Loves Horses!

Being her Own Horse She Even Attempts To Enlist Brother Horse....

As Brigham was pretending to be a horse Kaiya decided to jump on. It just didn't work. Better luck next time Kaiya. I don't claim to be an expert on horses, but I would suggest trying for a horse that is not your same size.
