We had such a fun reunion this year. My dad did a great job planning it. I can't blog the entire reunion until I return home. (I forgot to pack my camera cord) however, my sister took this shot of Caleb and Kaiya on the beach at Patrick's Point in northern California and I wanted to copy it. When I saw it I realized it is a great pictorial representation of Caleb as a father. I keep trying to find a word to describe it and "tender" is all that comes to my mind. He is such a sweet dad and loves his children so much. I will always remember how gently and carefully he held Brigham as an infant. It was like Brigham was this delicate piece of glass and one false move would shatter him. I teased him and reassured him that Brigham wasn't going to break, but at the same time it reminded me once again of his tender heart. It is one of the characteristics I love most about Caleb.

After the reunion, since Caleb and his cousin were still busy chitty chatting I started snapping various shots of Brigham and

It is hard to tell that she is in the middle of a jump. Her feet are off the ground. I think that is super cute. I love the expression on her face.

He was fascinated with the butterflies imprinted in the sidewalks..
Gesturing to several large trees in the park, I told Brigham to choose a tree to stand by so I could take a picture. He chose the smallest tree in the park. It was not quite what I had in mind, but still made me smile.

The Gilbert Family reunion was held at Lava Hot Springs this year. Caleb and I were only able to stay for a few hours, but it was a lot of fun to see everyone. The weather was perfect. We enjoyed sightseeing in the little shops downtown, eating some local huckleberry ice cream, playing Perudo and watching the kids scurry after the tennis balls my dad shot out of his homemade "cannon." It was a super fun afternoon. We will definately have to stay longer next time.
